Mini Biography
Beyoncé's father, Matthew Knowles, manages Destiny's Child. Her mother, Tina Knowles, designs their glittering costumes. Solange Knowles, her sister, has released her debut album. She dances with her big sister during DC-3 concerts.
She and her group were discovered by Whitney Houston. One of her favorite songs is "Lovefool" by The Cardigans. Her favorite item of clothing is a pair of path work metallic boots. She writes & produces many of the group's songs, including smash hits "Jumpin Jumpin", "Bootylicious", "Nasty Girl", "Independent Women", "Happy Face" and "Apple Pie a la mode".
Beyoncé, 'I Am . . . Sasha Fierce'
If Beyoncé were a boy—say, Kanye West or Thom Yorke—this would be the part of her career in which she indulged creative impulses, undertook ill-conceived vanity projects, or began experimenting with other genres.
This would be a welcome change for someone who has been making fairly boilerplate radio hits for a decade and would not be entirely surprising. Beyoncé is clearly stylish and intelligent, after all, and the title of her third solo CD, I Am . . . Sasha Fierce, seems to suggest the musings of a spirited alter ego, à la Eminem’s Slim Shady or Janelle Monae’s Cindi Mayweather. Hell, the very format of the project, a double album, suggests duality...
It’s quickly clear on her latest work that Beyoncé is not embracing the artistic-minded career track of West or Yorke, but rather that of her hubby. Like Jay-Z, who has returned to the gangster rap well again and again throughout his career, Beyoncé is once more playing to her strengths: empowerment ballads and cheeky girl jams.
Nothing here is as weird or interesting as the retro-futuristic tracks on her sister Solange’s recent album, Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams.
Instead, we get “Radio,” which sounds like Rihanna’s “Umbrella” set to ’80s-style synths, and “Diva,” in which Beyoncé claims that “a diva is the female version of a hustler.” It’s not convincing—she’s too sappy throughout the rest of the disc..
One can’t help but wish she had taken a few serious risks—for instance, what if “If I Were a Boy” pondered gender-reassignment surgery like the title seems to indicate, instead of the weepy love-lost lament it actually is?
Beyoncé appears to have permanently settled for the cash-cow, crowd-pleasing mold of her risk-averse better half.
" CRAZY IN LOVE ". A three day-shoot music video, it is remembered for giving Knowles a blistered foot and muscle spasms because of wearing ballet-pointed heels for an 18-hour filming; Knowles considered it as her toughest video shoot.

Beyonce Knowles is "Obsessed"
Hard at work at a Los Angeles studio, Beyonce Knowles was spotted filming a scene for her new movie "Obsessed" on Monday (June 23).
"Obsessed" tells the story of "a successful professional man with a beautiful wife who finds his idyllic life threatened by a temp in his office who reveals herself as a stalker."
Beyonce Knowles' different destiny
She was the afro'ed gun-toting goddess Foxxy Cleopatra in Austin Powers in Goldmember. Now Beyonce plays something closer to home in the new Pink Panther movie: a rich pop diva
Adorned in a pink diamond necklace, bangles and three-inch earrings which dangle next to her long, waist-length hair, Beyonce arrives at the interview looking every inch the sparkling star.
In her latest role for The Pink Panther, she once again holds her own against scene-stealing funny men: she plays opposite Steve Martin's Inspector Clouseau and Kevin Kline's chief inspector, who are investigating the disappearance of the Pink Panther diamond.
What was it like working with comedians like Mike Myers in Austin Powers and Steve Martin in The Pink Panther?
'I've been very fortunate. Thank God I'm able to play the straight person because I could never be the comedian. Mike and Steve in some ways have similarities. They both write and they both completely become someone else. Mike stays in character the whole time he's dressed up. Steve is very professional and serious as opposed to Mike, who is shyer. Steve was instantly switching into that phoney French accent and that craziness - I just wanted to laugh all the time.'

Steve described you as very shy. Where does that shyness come from and is that the reason why you became a performer in the first place?
'Probably, yes. I don't say I'm shy anymore, I'm just kind of quiet and calm and I observe; when I am not working I like to just blend in. I come out of my shell when I'm on the stage, now I'm learning in films that I can do the same thing with different characters.'

Do you ever get tired of putting on the Beyonce character in public?
'I do enjoy dressing up and I enjoy photo shoots and videos. It's a place where I can kind of live out a fantasy. But really when I'm at home, I'm the complete opposite. I like heels and I do love stilettos but I don't wear diamonds or make-up when I'm off - I don't walk around dressed in pink diamonds every day.'
Who inspires you as an actress?
'I would have to say Barbra Streisand and Diana Ross in Mahogany and all the other movies. They were singers and they were successful and did not have to act, financially or for any other reasons, but they did because they wanted to and they loved it and were talented and gifted at it. I don't think there's anything wrong with combining music and film. I think it's great when you're able to act and sing. But I do want to eventually do a movie where I'm not a singer.'

Are you taking acting classes?
'I've been working with someone and it's going good. I've learned so much about myself. I've learned you have to pull from things and think about things that I never really thought about. I'm sure it's definitely going to also inspire me to write different songs and different types of music.'
What keeps you balanced?
'My family, definitely. There's always one or two family members with me at all times. They're right there [points to the back of the room]. I don't go anywhere without someone that loves me and that can tell me the truth. Family is so important to me.'
What thoughts have you given to starting a family of your own?
'When I can slow down and focus on that, I will. I definitely want to have a family because I grew up with my mother, father, my sister and Kelly and my cousin and we all went to church every Sunday. We were a strong family and I want the same thing.'

What do you do to relax?
'I try to take two vacations a year and I love the South of France. I love being on the yacht and having a chef cook because I love to eat! I was supposed to go on vacation before The Pink Panther, and I had a choice to go on vacation or do the movie - I chose Steve Martin and Kevin Kline.'
Who's given you good advice in your career?
'Oprah (Winfrey), and she didn't tell me personally! I just will never forget her talking about the power of 'No'. That helped me so much, especially when trying to balance everything and so I have to learn how to say no when I don't like something. That's a very hard thing to do because I don't like to disappoint people and I work hard, but that has also been very helpful to me when I don't feel passionate about something - saying no and meaning it.'
Do your mother or father still give you advice?
'Oh, definitely. My mother always said, 'Beauty fades but beauty from within is forever.' When I was 15, we had a single that came out called No, No, No, it went to number one and I thought I was all grown-up. I was in the record store and she was talking to me but I was singing because I was ignoring her - I was being defiant. She threatened me, which she's never done in her life. She slapped me in my face and said, 'You better listen to me when I talk to you. Don't think you can do that now that you got a number one single.' I was so embarrassed and shocked because I'd never even gotten a spanking before. But that was the best thing she ever did because from that moment on, I never went there - they put me in my place before it started.'
Do you still get excited about a number one record?
'Absolutely! That is still amazing for me. I can never tell when a song is going to be a big hit - even now. That's the way it happened with Bootylicious and Crazy In Love. It would be great to have a number one movie and a number one single at the same time.'
How are you liking having a solo singing career?
'I do like it because I'm able to commit six months to something (other than music) without feeling guilty because other peoples lives become affected by my life - even though it's very scary. It's harder to make decisions by myself and I have to really listen to my instincts a lot more, but it's cool.'
What is the biggest challenge of being a celebrity?
'The hardest thing is balance because I have a perfume line, my mother and I have a clothing line, I have my L'Oreal contract, I have so many things! I still have Destiny's Child, a solo career, acting, albums. Then on top of everything, I approve everything. I approve every button in my clothing line, I approve every photograph, I approve every interview... And then I have a life. I have a family, I have a personal life and it's hard to balance.'
You've accomplished so much so young, do you allow yourself to look back?
'I can't normally. When Destiny's Child won the achievement award at the World Music Awards, they played back everything that we'd accomplished. When you're sitting and you see everything in front of you on the screen, it's like you're watching someone else because you forget about all those moments. One day, when my time has gone by, I will watch and really appreciate it all, but I know I'll see it like it's not really me.'

A gruelling schedule explains the singer’s slight confusion.
IT’S hard work being one of the world’s biggest pop stars: sleeping in a different hotel room every night, jumping from flight to flight, living out of a suitcase (even if it is a Louis Vuitton trunk).
Just over three months into her I Am … World Tour, Beyonce Knowles doesn’t know where the hell she is. She knows she’s in an American city beginning with the letter S; she’s just not sure which one.
“Where am I?” Knowles says, when Insider asks. “I’m in San Francisco, I think. No, San Diego? Oh, Sacramento.
“That’s terrible. I just got here, just got off of the bus, so I haven’t seen anything but the venue.”
Knowles, 27, spoke to Insider before hitting the stage for the 51st show of her 87-date (and growing) world tour. It’s one of the biggest ever, having grossed more than $US37.5 million ($45.8 million) in ticket sales so far.
She’s due in Australia in September to play seven shows, booking two performances at Sydney’s Acer Arena on September 18 and 19.
“It’s a mixture of everything I love,” Knowles says of the show.
“I tried to bring jazz and hip hop and ballet and fashion and everything together.
“I’m really excited. It’s the best thing I’ve done as far as my tours go.”
t’s almost strange to hear Knowles - arguably one of the most beautiful and successful singers of her time - admit she’s actually jealous of fellow female powerhouse Pink’s enormous Australian fan base.
She’s shocked to hear that Pink, who is on the same label as her, is more than halfway through a record-breaking, 58-date tour of Australia, with 12 shows in Sydney alone.
“Oh my God,” she gasps. “I would love to (do that). That’s great, it’s very smart.
“It almost seems like every time I’m in Australia, Pink is there. I would love to see her show. She is very talented.
“She’s the most hilarious, down-to-earth young lady.”

BEYONCE IN PINK PANTER
Beyoncé Knowles is set to start recording for the movie The Pink Panther, starring Steve Martin, which will be released next February.
In a European MTV interview, Knowles, 23, revealed that she will play the part of Xania, an international star suspected of murder.
The singer also hopes to record the album for the film Dreamgirls, filmed last December, in which she acted alongside Usher and Jamie Foxx.
Beyonce Knowles wants Wonder Woman
Now that we’re finally getting a black President of the United States, how about a black superhero? Before you leave a comment telling me how Halle Berry played Catwoman in a 2004 feature film, or how Shaquille O’Neal played Steel in 1997, as I’ve tried very hard to forget about both of those films. Beyonce Knowles revealed to the LATimes that she actually recently met with DC Comics and Warner Bros to express her interest in playing Wonder Woman in a big screen movie adaptation.
“I want to do a superhero movie and what would be better than Wonder Woman? It would be great. And it would be a very bold choice. A black Wonder Woman would be a powerful thing. It’s time for that, right?” said Beyonce. “After doing these roles that were so emotional I was thinking to myself, ‘OK, I need to be a superhero’. Although, when you think about the psychology of the heroes in the films these days, they are still a lot of work, of course, and emotional. But there’s also an action element that I would enjoy.”

I’m still not sure what to think about the idea of Beyonce in the Wonder Woman costume. Could she make it work?
IESB is also reporting a rumor that DC/WB would like McG to direct Wonder Woman, but no one knows if the talk has progressed any further than “just talk”.
After seeing what McG has done with Terminator Salvation (I visited the set, can’t say much more at this time), I believe he could be the right choice to bring Wonder Woman to the big screen. McG was also once attached to Superman, before he dropped out in the later stages of development. I think Wonder Woman might be more his style.

On the other hand, Wonder Woman has been one of the many comic book characters that I’ve just never been interested in. I mean, she drives an invisible plane! I’m betting you that is going to look stupid on the big screen?

What do you guys think? Beyonce as Wonder Woman?

Earning millions for singing and slinging albums is for old-timers. Young musicians have been bred to understand that financial success in today’s music industry means building a brand that transcends song and stage.
No young star illustrates this better than Beyonce, the 27-year-old who earns the top spot on Forbes’ list of the Top-Earning Young Musicians in the last year. She was raised to sing and dance, but she earned $87 million with talents that go beyond her voice.
Since last June, Queen B dropped a double album, starred in two films, performed at both the Oscars and the Presidential Inaugural Ball and embarked on what is expected to be, at minimum, a 110-date international tour. She also expanded a fashion collection that includes casual and formal lines as well as jewelry and eyeglasses, and added sponsors Nintendo, Crystal Geyser and General Mills to a roster of endorsers already including L’Oréal, Giorgio Armani and Samantha Thavasa handbags
